Cub Scout Summer Camp at Camp Comer is an absolute blast! The program begins on Wednesday night with an amazing opening campfire followed by 2 full days of fun and adventure! 

Waterfront! Waterfront! Waterfront! Cub Scout Summer Camp is all about the water! It is our Council’s main aquatics focused program offering for Cub Scouts. Cubs will waterslide, swim, boat, and earn their aquatics adventures!

  • Tigers complete the Floats and Boats Adventure!
  • Wolfs complete the Spirit of the Water Adventure!
  • Bears complete the Salmon Run Adventure!

Cubs will also participate in fun activities including STEM, Archery, BB Guns, Slingshots, Climbing, Nature Hikes, Crafts, Adventure Games, Campfire programs, Conservation Projects, Fishing, and MORE! 

Registration & Info

  • Cub Scout Summer Camp is for rising Tigers, Wolves, & Bears, meaning the Scout will be going into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in fall 2023.
  • All participants, including Adults, must be registered with the BSA via a local Cub Scout Pack.
  • Adults must be registered and be current with youth protection training.
  • Attendees will need a 1-to-1 ratio or a 2-to-1 ratio for families. (1 Scout with 1 Adult, or 2 Scouts with 1 Adult from the same family). 
  • The first Adult Partner is free, additional adults are $65.   

Cost

  • $155 – 1 Cub Scouts and 1 Adult Partner.
  • $175 – 2 Cub Scouts and 1 Adult Partner (Same Family). 
  • Additional Adults are $65

Camping and Facilities

  • Campers will stay in large canvas wall tents on a wood platform or in an Adirondack (3 wall cabin).  Inside each tent is a cot and a mattress. There is plenty of space to store your gear under the cot. Many families bring lockable storage totes. 
  • Restroom and shower facilities for both youth and adults can be found in two shower houses conveniently located near campsites.
  • Camp Comer has a top-notch Medic Lodge located in the heart of camp to assist with any medical emergency.
  • Need to respond to an urgent email?  The Scoutmaster’s Lounge has fiber WiFi to help you handle non-Scouting issues while enjoying a few moments of A/C.  
  • All meals will be served cafeteria-style in the C.M. Jesperson Dining Hall.  Our staff can accommodate any special dietary needs or concerns.  If you have questions or need to make arrangements for special dietary considerations, please submit all requests in writing to camping@1bsa.org no later than June 28th.
