Cub Scout Summer Camp

Cub Scout Summer Camp at Camp Comer is an absolute blast! The program begins on Wednesday night with an amazing opening campfire followed by 2 full days of fun and adventure! 

Waterfront! Waterfront! Waterfront! Cub Scout Summer Camp is all about the water! It is our Council’s main aquatics focused program offering for Cub Scouts. Cubs will waterslide, swim, boat, and earn their aquatics adventures!

  • Tigers complete the Floats and Boats Adventure!
  • Wolfs complete the Spirit of the Water Adventure!
  • Bears complete the Salmon Run Adventure!

Cubs will also participate in fun activities including STEM, Archery, BB Guns, Slingshots, Climbing, Nature Hikes, Crafts, Adventure Games, Campfire programs, Conservation Projects, Fishing, and MORE! 

Registration & Info

  • Cub Scout Summer Camp is for rising Tigers, Wolves, & Bears, meaning the Scout will be going into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in fall 2023.
  • All participants, including Adults, must be registered with the BSA via a local Cub Scout Pack.
  • Adults must be registered and be current with youth protection training.
  • Attendees will need a 1-to-1 ratio or a 2-to-1 ratio for families. (1 Scout with 1 Adult, or 2 Scouts with 1 Adult from the same family). 
  • The first Adult Partner is free, additional adults are $65.
  • Older youth (ages 11+) may attend with their family. The camp doesn’t provide program for this age group, but they can volunteer to help support Cub Programing. The cost is $65. 
  • The Cub Scout Summer Camp program is designed for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears. Webelos and Arrow of Lights may attend with their family, but please note that the program is not designed for their age. The cost is same as all Cub Scouts ($155, $175). We encourage Webelos to attend Webelos Camp where the program is designed for them.       

Cost

  • $155 – 1 Cub Scouts and 1 Adult Partner.
  • $175 – 2 Cub Scouts and 1 Adult Partner (Same Family). 
  • Additional Adults and older youth are $65
  • Additional T-shirts are $13

Camp Arrival

  • Please arrive at camp between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday July 19th.
  • Evening Flag Ceremony and Dinner will begin at 6pm followed by our opening campfire.

Camping and Facilities

  • Campers will stay in large canvas wall tents on a wood platform or in an Adirondack (3 wall cabin).  Inside each tent is a cot and a mattress. There is plenty of space to store your gear under the cot. Many families bring lockable storage totes. 
  • When you arrive, after check-in, you can drive to your campsite to easily unload your gear (no hiking).
  • Water is available in every campsite and throughout camp. Make sure to bring a water bottle!
  • Restroom and shower facilities with on-demand hot water for both youth and adults can be found in two shower houses conveniently located near campsites.
  • Camp Comer has a top-notch Medic Lodge located in the heart of camp to assist with any medical needs.
  • Our Adult leader Lounge has A/C and Fiber WiFi.  
  • Meals are served cafeteria-style in our Dining Hall. Our staff can accommodate any special dietary needs or concerns.  If you have questions or need to make arrangements for special dietary considerations, please submit all requests in writing to camping@1bsa.org no later than June 28th.
