Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, the Greater Alabama Council serves youth and adult volunteers in 22 counties in North & Central Alabama. We operate 5 camping properties, and have 2 offices. Our mission is to provide character development, citizenship training, and growth in physical, mental and spiritual fitness, to help create the next generation of leaders.

Wood Badge is the top-tier adult leader training course in Scouting. The tools you’ll get in this split classroom – field training course will help you be a superior leader in your unit and will equip you to take on roles at the District and Council levels, too!
