Cub Scout Holiday Camping!

You’re invited to join us at Camp Sequoyah for a camping experience like no other!  Our first ever “Joy to the Woods” campout will ring in the holiday season at camp with tons of activities for Cubs and their families!

This Cub camping weekend will feature many different activities and events that are guaranteed to be a hit with Cubs of any age!  With expert shooting sports instruction, BSA Certified Angling Instructors and Angling Educators helping with fishing, along with a Bobcat Badge Station, and Campfire program, you don’t want to miss this exciting weekend at Camp!

We look forward to welcoming you and your family on December 8 -10, 2023, for the Joy to the Woods Holiday Campout!

Tentative Schedule:

Friday, Dec. 8th:
  • 3pm -Check-in begins
  • 6:30pm -Cracker Barrel and Holiday Cookie Party 
  • 10pm -Lights Out
Saturday, Dec. 9th
  • 8am -Day Camper Check-in begins in Parking Lot
  • 8am – 8:44am -Games and Gathering at the Parade Field
  • 8:45am -Opening Flag Ceremony and Announcements
  • 9am -Activity stations and Ranges open
  • 12pm -Lunch in the Dining Hall
  • 1pm – 4:15pm – Activities and Program
  • 4:25pm -Closing Flag Ceremony and Pack/Den Cheers or Songs
  • 5pm -Dinner in the Dining Hall
  • 6:15pm- Camp Fire Program
  • 7pm – Night Hike and Astronomy (weather permitting)
  • 8:30pm -Cracker Barrel
  • 10pm -Lights Out

Event Fees

Regular Campers:
– 1 Cub and 1 Partner: $55.00
– 2 Cubs and 1 Partner: $65.00
– Additional Family Member (5 years and older): $25.00 per person

Day Campers:
– 1 Cub and 1 Partner: $25.00
– 2 Cubs and 1 Partner: $30.00
– Additional Family Member (5 years and older): $10.00 per person

All youth 4 years old and younger: Free

What gear should I bring to camp?

  • Completed BSA Health Form (Parts A & B)
  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, personal toiletries, towel
  • Rain gear, weather-appropriate extra clothes and jacket, flashlight
  • Spending money for the Trading Post
  • Fishing pole and tackle
  • Cooking Gear (stove, pots and pans, cooking utensils, eating utensils, ice chest
  • Camp Chair
