Camp Jackson

Camp Jackson is a 515 acre camp located in the Appalachian foothills. It is nestled between Sand Mountain and the Tennessee River. At Camp Jackson there are over 10 miles of hiking trails that can take you to the different waterfalls on camp, or to one of the best views of the Tennessee River Valley from atop the Pinnacle–the highest point in Jackson County. Some of the best fishing in north Alabama can be found just off the docks, accessible by the canoes available on site. The camp also features mountain boards, pump track bikes, swimming, and more. While primarily a primitive camp Jackson has several platform tents and buildings available for use.

Units and families wishing to utilize Camp Jackson are required to fill out and submit a Camp Use permit.  The permit should be submitted to the Birmingham Scout Office via email through this link.
