 What:  Boy Scout Leader Training/Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training (SMLST)

For:  All Boy Scout Leaders who are Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters

 

BSA Scoutmaster / Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

This is the initial training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters (and other interested persons). This course covers the essentials of their leadership positions and provides information to help them become successful Scout leaders. Learn about working with the boys, troop organization, the patrol method, the outdoor program, the advancement program, and program planning. To be fully trained, Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters must also attend the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills Training (OLS).

This is the initial training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters (and other interested persons). TBD throughout the day: Individualized adult leader training support

Arrangements are being made provide access to computers to allow access to the adult leader training availableonmyscouting.scouting.org. Otherindividualizedtrainingsupportmaybeavailableuponrequest. Additional formal supplemental training may be added and will be announced during the M erit Badge Fair Opening at 8:30 am.
