The Greater Alabama Council sends its regards and sympathies to those affected by the recent storms and tornadoes. Many Scouters have expressed an interest in how they can help. We ask if you do wish to aid in cleanup efforts to contact your local emergency management officials first.

An assessment is being made of all Council properties. There has been damage at Camp Jackson but it appears all other properties are fine.
The Woodbadge course scheduled for Camp Comer this weekend is still on as scheduled. However, there is no electricity at this time and at 5:00 pm today water will be shut off to the camp. Therefore those planning to attend should bring water, ice, propane stoves and propane lanterns if possible and have enough gas in their vehicle to make the round trip to camp and back. A makeup Woodbadge session will be scheduled for those that can’t attend. Details forthcoming.
Scout Night with the Barons scheduled for Friday night at Regions Park is still on and there is still availability.
Boy Scout events for April 28 and 29 in Huntsville, Albertville and at Camp Jackson in Jackson County have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Again, our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the storms and tornadoes and we wish all a speedy recovery process.
