SPECIAL DIGITAL EAGLE

The Greater Alabama Council sends its regards and sympathies to those affected by the recent storms and tornadoes. Many Scouters have expressed an interest in how they can help. We ask if you do wish to aid in cleanup efforts to contact your local emergency management officials first.

Camp Jackson Up-Date:

There has been severe damage to the Camp Jackson property in Scottsboro. The Camp Jackson committee is taking immediate action on clean-up and access items. We know that many of you are concerned about the camp. The committee has activated professionals to assist in the clean-up efforts. We ask at this time that you do not go to the camp property and try to help. We appreciate your concern but there are safety precautions that must be handled by trained professionals. There are many electrical wires and large trees on the ground that requires strict safety precautions.  More details and up-date will be forthcoming.

Again, our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the storms and tornadoes and we wish all a speedy recovery process.
